Todays Instalment is a Link

Here it is...

Probably the most discussed sports issue today...

Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but he who makes his ways crooked will be found out. (Proverbs 10:9)

Better is a poor person who walks in his integrity than one who is crooked in speech and is a fool. (Proverbs 19:1)

Better is a poor man who walks in his integritythan a rich man who is crooked in his ways. (Proverbs 28:6)

Whoever walks in integrity will be delivered, but he who is crooked in his ways will suddenly fall. (Proverbs 28:18)

Where is your treasure?

It seems that the outer-suburbs of Sydney have suffered a sharp decrease in the value of property recently.

The Herald checked 16 properties in south-western and western suburbs listed at the weekend and found 60 per cent had prices or had attracted offers at a discount to their last sale price.

People who paid for their block of the Australian Dream look to be very much worse off by the increased costs of travel and a few interest rate rises combining to hurt mortgagees who haven't bought wisely.

What a great treasure we have instead.
"Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom. Sell your possessions, and give to the needy. Provide yourselves with moneybags that do not grow old, with a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches and no moth destroys. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

The CFMEU and the MP's husband

Jackie Kelly is not the kind of person who is best friends with the Union Movement.

Anecdotes I have been told about her 1996 By-Election victory in Lindsay just seek to confirm the extent of the animosity that exists between Jackie and the Union Heavies who see her as out of place representing Outer-Western Sydney in the Federal Parliament.

Unfortunately, they seem not to fully disclose any sense of animosity which would justify the inclusion of a Nine Network Camera Crew on a Union Publicity stunt.
CFMEU NSW secretary Andrew Ferguson rejected Ms Kelly's accusation his officials were targeting her husband for political reasons. "Just because she's a member of parliament doesn't mean we shouldn't investigate safety issues on her site," he said.

I wonder what would happen if these issues were treated with honesty and integrity.

A New Blog for a New Style

Life gets boring occasionally, so I thought I would use my final months as a university student contributing something of substance to the online world. - A daily news review.

The formula - Pete reads the online news, seeking to find one key story for the day which could do with an evangelistic spin. Once the spin is decided upon, it will be posted here, and available free for use.

I dont know how I will handle having three distinct blogs, but who knows, my sports success so far has encouraged me to splash out a bit.

The plan is to max out at one story a day, to minimise the time involved in reading and writing, but let's wait and see.
